Welcome To Thin Air Creations Official Blog

I should start off by saying that I hate blogs. Whenever I am looking up a recipe and I get redirected to a blog, I cringe. I understand that sometimes a little extra info is needed and sometimes, I even appreciate it after I get past all the ads, affiliate links and other garbage that makes the page take half a lifetime to fully load. And don’t even get me started on all the 30 minute recipes that take 2 hours or longer from start to finish. I decided to create this blog at the encouragement of my friends who insist that others might be interested in what I do.

I do lots of different things and you never know what I’ll get into next. The basis of everything, though, is centered around my quest of being as self sustaining as possible, using the medicine that nature provides, ridding my home of toxic chemicals and generally creating a healthier way of life for my family and helping others when I can.

I believe that unless you find the root of the problem and fix that, that treating the symptoms is a waste of time. I have spent countless hours learning, researching and practicing and experimenting. (I never test on animals, only humans) I believe that modern medicine is poisoning America, along with the evil company Monsanto. I believe that finding natural medicines is often times more effective than synthetic drugs made by companies who make a profit off of sick people. Healthy people are not profitable.

My quest began with one little thought and snowballed from there. Once I started learning and experimenting, it turned into a runaway train. The more I learn, the more compelled I become to stop using commercially made products completely. There are only a few commercial products I use today that I haven’t been able to properly formulate yet myself, but I’m working on it.

I’ll share with you my recipes and formulas, my do’s and don’ts, lots of dog pictures and stories because I have the best dog in the world and it would be selfish of me to keep her to myself. My overall goal is to share my hard earned knowledge with you and hopefully help someone somehow to make their life a little better.

I learn things the hard way. I’m a ‘gotta see it to believe it’ kind of person. When you read something here, you can be sure that I’ve have researched it to death. If you read something I’ve formed an opinion about that you don’t agree with, that’s just fine. We’re all entitled to our own opinion, but chances of you changing my mind are pretty slim because I’m stubborn as a mule.

There are a few reputable website and people that I trust to deliver solid facts and information. Dr. Josh Axe at www.draxe.com, Paul Stamets at www.fungi.com, and the accomplished writer Sam Vaknin, author of Malignant Self Love: Narcissism Revisited. I will reference them often.

This blog may never be wildly popular because, while I know and understand all the “right” things to do to rank in Google, I don’t necessarily care. Experts recommend focusing on one or two topics for your blog, which is fine, but I’m interested in more than one or two things. You’ll find a number of different topics covered here including high altitude recipes, formulas for cosmetics, how to refinish wood furniture, dumpster diving, narcissism, how I feel about people who don’t say “excuse me” when they walk in front of me at the grocery store and people who don’t use their blinkers, just to name a few. If you like my content, share it with others. If you don’t like it, then don’t read it. If you have questions, ask them. If you have snide comments, keep them to yourself. If you read something that I’m wrong about, tell me along with factual and reputable data to back it up.

I’m just one of millions and to you, I’m no different from any other blog out there. But, I do sincerely hope you can take something from here and apply it to your life and that it somehow is helpful. I don’t try to intentionally offend others, but I can’t please everyone. I think to avoid being sued, I have to say that any information available here is for informational purposes only. I’m not a doctor, nor a psychologist and before treating yourself with herbal remedies or medicinal mushrooms you should probably clear it with a medical professional. You should always do your homework and research things yourself and form your own opinion. The last thing is that my recipes are all formulated for high altitude above 6,000 feet. I don’t know what changes you need to make for lower elevations- I’m a Colorado Native and know nothing of anything below 6,000 feet. Please enjoy this blog.
